Pros: Blade Material, Handle Feel, Blade Sharpness, None
Cons: Weight, Handle Feel, Lock Ease of Use, Handle Material
The build quality is pretty good. Maybe not perfect but good. When flipped open, the lock goes so far over the it is impossible to unlock the blade without regripping the knife and using two fingers to push the lock out of the way...strange. The blade is definitely sturdy and will no doubt hold up to real work. The grip material is really rough and would no doubt be great in slippery/wet conditions, but it is so rough it makes it hard to deploy from a pocket: the pocket doesn't want to let go of the knife. Overall the knife is bigger, heavier and bulkier than I had expected. It is far more tactical than EDC in my opinion. That isn't a bad thing, just something to be aware of when considering the knife. Frankly given the price of the knife I would have spent a bit more and gotten my long coveted Sebenza.

Top Notch!
People can talk smack all they want about Emerson. Those of us who spent the money and experienced these high quality knives first hand know better than to believe all the internet lies. I paid over $200 dollars for this knife. While it's expensive it's worth every penny. The G10 grips are akin to those you'd find on a custom 1911 pistol. It doesn't slip in your hand. I also can't remember ever having a factory edge on any knife that was as good as this one. I'm also a big fan of the 154CM steel used in the blade. Sure, there are other exotic metals that are supposed to be, "Better" but I like that Emerson stayed with what's tried and true.I thought the Wave feature was going to be more of a gimmick than anything else. That is until I tried it and it made me into a believer! It takes some practice to get the draw right but once you get it, it's lightning fast out of your pocket. The locking mechanism is bank vault solid and I love the idea behind using Titanium. It makes the knife so light but so strong. All the screws are nice and tight. This is after several hundred draws from the pocket and allowing the knife to come open with a hard snap. Nothing came loose at all!I was debating about writing what's below. I really don't consider it a negative but some might so here it is anyhow. If I had to find one negative thing about this knife, it would be that it was a little stiff opening at first. No big deal though. After a little time spent learning to use the Wave feature and to properly draw the knife from my pocket it worked itself in and is fine now. (It's such a high quality knife that it requires a break in period!) If your considering this knife but are put off by the price, just aren't sure, or can't justify the money, my advice to you is to just buy it. You know you want it and I'll tell you what, I'm darn glad I spent the money. It's the best knife I've ever owned period and I'll certainly be giving KnifeCenter.com and Emerson my money and business again in the future.

This knife is fantastic. Very sharp from the box with excellent fit and finish. I haven't used a wave opening system before, but it is easy to use with just a few tries. It has taken everything I have thrown at it so far and asks for more.
