FOXAMIDPOR: Fox USA Amico Lockback Folding Knife, Orange
Fox Knives USA is a branch of Fox Cutlery based out of Puyallup, Washington. They manufacture designs by Mike Vellekamp that are high-quality, multi-use, and best of all—affordable. The Amico, like the Forza, Drago, and Vitale, is an outdoor design that can be utilized as a tactical piece should the need arise. Each model features the same exact handle with a different blade shape to maximize its effectiveness at a given task. The Amico features a drop point blade with multiple runs of jimping on the spine for a non-slip grip for skinning and fine detail work.

The handle shape is the trademark of this Fox USA design. Its curved pistol grip style follows the contours of the hand nicely for comfortable hard use cutting. The dual finger grooves and jimped thumb ramp lock the knife into your hand and allow you to choke up on the blade. The small interior liners make this knife ultra-lightweight without compromising on strength. It's a solid alternative to a Spyderco Delica or Endura with excellent blade steel and USA-made quality. Act now, as these won't be around at this price for long.

Great American Made Knife for the Price
I bought three of these a couple of months ago... each a different color and blade style. I was specifically looking for an American made knife for my EDC purposes... and wanted something below $100.I placed the order before reading any reviews... but then I saw the reviews and started to second guess my decision to get 3... I'm glad I ordered them and ignored the bad reviews. First of all, you can't compare these knives to those selling above $100, there would be a clear difference in craftsmanship and handling. The knives are a little bigger than I thought. I was thinking it would be more like a Leatherman Crater. The 154CM steel and handle material are the same, but the blade and handle on the Fox is bigger... bigger than I was expecting, but now that I have them in my hand, the size is great.I've had no problems with their use and no problems with poor quality as some reviews said. The blade opens and closes firmly every time.... no wiggle or play at all and opening and closing is smooth. The one thing that might be causing some complaints is that due to the size or design, it's a bit harder (or awkward) to open with one hand... it's not difficult or impossible, just not as smooth as you might expect. Maybe my hands are too small for it, who knows. The blade is sharp, the grip is great and the clip is ideal to slip in my pocket. My only complaint is that the handle feels too light and plasticky, but for the price I overlook it. The most important thing to me was good quality blade.

Stands up to hard use
I use one of these (with Wharncliffe tip) as one of my EDC's at work. I'm a miner. I'm always super dirty and rubbing up against steel, the ground, etc. Perhaps most importantly (to the function of a folding knife in my work environment), the action on this knife doesn't get horribly gummed up with stone dust. I tried carrying a Spyderco Delica for awhile, but it was pointless because dust began abrading the bearing surfaces of the liner and blade almost immediately when I used it at work. The blade on this Fox knife is well-ground (symmetric, smooth) and very sharp, and so far it has retained its edge very well when cutting through reinforced conveyor belt rubber, among other things. It's nice and thin, which is great for comfortability of carry, especially in tight spaces. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars because the appearance of the plastic grips seem a little cheap and over-engineered. But hey, it feels good in my hand and I'm not too concerned about aesthetics for EDC's. Nice knife, DEFINITELY worth the money. PS: I have no trouble opening or closing it. The other reviewers (as of this review) either got lemons or have abnormally weak hands.
