Morakniv

The Morakniv Classic has been developed by Mora of Sweden for over a century, and has been utilized by generations of carpenters and wood carvers. The tradition can be explained by the knives – with their classic red wooden handle – being pleasant to work with and having just the right feel. A reliable knife that has a given place among the tools of a handcrafter. Also used to a great extent by carpenters. Has a blade of carbon steel and a handle of red ochre birch. Comes with a plastic belt sheath.
Carbon Steel Blade:
  • Knife blades of high carbon steel can be hardened to HRC 59-60 giving best possible sharpness to lowest price. Knives made from above mentioned steel grades will after some use achieve a dullish grey finish. However, this will not negatively affect the quality of the blade. On the contrary it will somewhat improve the resistance to corrosion.

Mora and the rest
I have expensive large blade custom and semi custom knives but my Mora is my go to. Its light enough to disappear but always there when I need it. Its always sharp as a razor, so much so, that I used it to clean trout on my last trip. I didnt even bring the fillet knife out. I was skeptical about Moras at first, but im sold now. Mora is The Best Knife hands down, not only for the price point but for there ability. My Mora out preforms my large customs and semi customs every time. 5 stars and im a life customer...

Great work knife
Not the first time I've bought this knife. My repurchase is to replace the one I lost recently clearing brush, which I have used for years and replace the previous Mora Swedish Sloyd knife I was using before that; I've used one of these knives for the pas 35 years or so.. I used to use a shorter bladed sloyd knife but have found the longer blade more useful in the gardening, carpentry and crafts-work I do. I rebuild a more attractive sheath around the rugged plastic sheath that comes with the knife and has a good grip on the handle.

Awesome
I use the morakniv everytime I go out to the woods or fishing, this knife is absolutely super sharp, handle is very ergonomic and can compete with the most expensive knives. Before I bought this knife I was a bit skeptical but now it's my go to knife, great knife for a great price, if you're outdoorsy you need this knife whether it's secondary or primary. Morakniv is the best.
