Gerber quality
I have always had Gerber knives when I was younger. My father traveled to Oregon in the day quite frequently and while there would visit the plant and I would always have another knife for my collection. While I recently lost my EDC knife I was looking to replace it and naturally gravitated towards the Gerber line. I had read some unfavorable reviews of their newer products on other forums and websites, but I still decided to give it a try. When I received the knife it was what I had expected from the Gerber quality I was accustom to. The fit and finish were as expected with a tight sharp blade which with the assist deploys quickly and firmly. It has a good balanced feel in the hand and the grips are comfortable as well. I have been using it for about 3 months now with no issues and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good quality EDC.

Oops
I have purchased and used Gerber products for twenty years, and I have not had this experience. With a roller bearing and plenty of energy stored in the closed spring, I expected a push on the thumb pad and this knofe would snap smartly into open lock. But the blade was pushed against the inside of the handle so tightly it was almost not possible to move.I figured there was some small glitch in assembly I could correct. I had a small modification I wanted to make (not likely to be of interest to anyone but me), a a teardown would be the best way to clean any grit generated. I did not find an obvious problem. My assembly produced the original condition. I though my modification would make a return awkward, so I bent the handle side out for the needed clearance.Nice design. Opens like a small automatic. It is an otherwise high quality knife and inexpensive. Makes me wonder about offshore manufacture. Hope mine is the only one with a problem. I like the knife.

A real nice surprise...
This knife surprised me. The open assist was faster than I really expected. The dual sided flipper has an amazing feel and easily accessible with either hand. I am using this as an every day carry. The handle, feel and size of the knife if just right. This is a truly well thought out and constructed knife.
