Solid construction - does the job

First off, I have very little experience with using a strop. My first one!I just watched a bunch of Youtube videos on how to use one - followed the instructions sharpening my knives, then used this to really bring them to razor sharp.Not sure what else to say, but my knives are REALLY sharp now. Every few days, I just run them across this a few times, just like new again =)

Excellent Razor Strop

Been using an IRS 361 for a few years, and I use a straight razor daily. This strop is a bit stiff out of the box, but improves greatly with use, and some "breaking-in" work also helps. Nothing fancy here, just a real work horse, everyday razor strop from a maker with over 100 years strop making experience.

I sharpen a lot of knives. A strop with the proper treatment (I like 4 micron diamond paste) will put the finest edge on a knife, even softer steels will shave. Harder steels D-2,S30v,BG42 etc will attain a truly remarkable edge, and the polish it imparts allows the knife to hold it a lot longer. This strop is very good quality and can be laid down or attached to a ring. it only takes a minute or so to do the job.
