JB019B3B: B3 Balisong
Brous Blades
The first Balisong by Brous Blades, the B3. Brous Blades wanted to stay close to the traditional Balisong style but give it a slight Brous twist. When closed, the subtly-contoured Balisong may look like many others, but that is where the similarities end. Brous Blades added jimping to the spine of the blade and all around the handles to ensure that you never lose your grip on this sleek blade. The bearings have been specifically designed for this model and are completely unique to any others. The Balisong blade measures 4.25 inches long and features an incredibly aggressive recurve tanto spear-point blade made from D2 tool steel. The Balisong has stainless steel handles which have been skeletonized on the inside to keep the weight and cost down. The stainless steel pocket clip is right-handed tip-up carry only. The Brous Blades B3 Balisong will be a great choice for old and new users who are looking for a unique design. The Burnt Bronze Cerakote is a limited run of just 200 pieces (100 satin blade and 100 blackout blade). Includes Brous Blades Custom Case.

Pros: Blade Sharpness, Ease of Opening, Overall Quality, Lock Type, Weight, Pocket Clip, None
Cons: Lock Ease of Use, Handle Feel
Great knife
I love the knife but as a flipper its not the best. Itll flip however the thinness of the handles and the difficulty to adjust the pivots to an acceptable tightness yet still have the latch work well make it not as good as many other balisongs. No latch stop also means the latch will hit and dent your blade. Another gripe about the latch is the odd detent used. If you tighten the screw the latch can become impossible to move. All in all i think its a great knife but not a great flipper

At the end of the day I love my B3. But it had some problems, when I got it from here the safe handle wouldn't budge and if I loosend it the blade would rub horribly , I'm not new to balis, I know about break in period, lubing and loctite, and non of those helped, well I thought it broke in at one point Nd it flipped pretty decent for a week then the handle froze in place, talked to brous and he said to go ahead and disassemble it. I did and the bushing was falling apart, it's rubber and literally like shattered. I sent it to him and they fixed it up and it flips good now, they didn't do half what I asked when I sent it, but they were very fast and it does work now. So on to the working knife.. it flips very well the bushings make it similar to flipping a tach3 that is evenly weighted, the handles are a weird shape though so some tricks are a pain for me like the ladder or even some rollovers. I think I just got a bad apple and that said this knife is awesome , good materials, a awesome blade shape , good clip custom bushings, and the cerakote is hard as hell to damage mine should have a bunch of scratches but instead there are just snail marks. Overall this knife is better suite to edc so for that purpose I give it a 5 of 5 , but for flipping it's sadly a 3. Still if your looking at one and already have a flipper get one while there still around!
