JBSNIPERFLASW: Sniper Frame Lock
Brous Blades
The Sniper was one of Brous Blades' most popular models of 2015/2016 and they are continuing the design with the Sniper Frame Lock. The Sniper FL is their take on a Kwaiken style blade and is aimed at being one of their most affordable knives. The frames are made from stainless steel and have been machined on the interior to keep the weight down. The D2 tool steel blade rides on the Brous Bearing System and fires out quickly by using the flipper tab. Standoffs gives the Sniper FL a flow-through design that is easily cleaned and maintained. The pocket clip is set up for right hand, tip-up carry. The Sniper FL keeps its same easy-to-carry size but now with a stronger frame lock design. Each knife is individually numbered and includes a signed certificate of authenticity.

Pros: Blade Material, Overall Quality
Cons: None
For those that really like sharp and pointy
The good.......extremely sharp and pointy. Razor sharp and needle point to be exact . Handle is thin and open construction. Very minimalist design. Nice heft and weight. Action is smooth and lockup and centering are spot on. Acid wash looks good. The bad......if we can call it that.......pocket clip is as tight as any knife I've ever held.....needs break in time for sure.Overall great for the price......dont let your friends play with this one you might not get it back. Don't pull it out in looks wicked to the extreme. Lifetime sharpening and spa treatment with this knife. They are serial numbered and come with a great plastic box. Overall very happy.

A strong showing at a different price point
I have many of Brous' designs in my collection, and this is actually one of my favorite. In my experience, if you like Brous, then it's his blades' style, and probably size, that attracts you. If you don't have or have never handled his original Sniper model, then I would recommend this knife for style, with it's hidden blade design and smooth, sleek finish, at a perfectly reasonable price point. If you *ARE* familiar with the liner-lock Sniper, then the differences I noticed immediately were: 1) The weight, 2) The finish, and 3) The contouring. This knife is much heavier than the liner lock, which is perfect for me with my XL hands. It's a smooth finish, as apposed to the slight matte texture, but with any attempt at a grip, it will stay put and not slide around, and it's just flat Stainless Steel for the handle, no bump down the middle to fill up your hand. The lockup is better, the Jimping is better, the action is better, and it just feels like it was built better. My action came smooth out of the box, but in case you don't know, bearings can really gather gunk/lint and may need to be cleaned more often than washer pivots. My original sniper, the aluminum liner lock, will never be worn again after getting this new frame lock model.
