Brous Blades

New for 2014 is the Strife, A collaboration knife designed by custom knife maker Dustin Turpin. The Strife utilizes our proprietary Brous bearing system to achieve legendary flipping action. Combined with 3D milled carbon fiber scales and skeletonized titanium liners, it is a lightweight yet incredibly solid feeling knife that fits the hand well. The twill weave carbon fiber scales will have double milled grooves along the first third of the handle. The flow through backspacer is comprised of titanium sandwiched between two layers of G10. The forward finger choil on the Strife will offer the ability to choke up on the blade to increase grip and precision during cutting tasks. The compound ground D2 blade also features a cutout on the top of the blade that your thumb will drop in to when using a forward grip. The Strife has our deep carry pocket clip and lanyard loop which can be switched for right or left handed use. The Strife is a rock solid knife that can fulfill nearly any task it is given. Its lightweight and comfortable design makes this a great choice for every day carry.

Pros: Lock Type, Handle Material, Blade Sharpness, Blade Material, Ease of Opening, Handle Feel, Weight, Lock Ease of Use, Overall Quality
Cons: Pocket Clip, None
With this model, I now own all of the models that Jason makes, that have G10 or Carbon Fiber scales. I do not care for metal handles, and you will not find any in my collection of more than 400 folders, most with tactical attributes. I like all of the Brous knives I own, but will say that this model, and the T4 with G10 scales are the ones that fit my XL hands best. The ergonomics are perfect for me, the blade design and sharpness are right on, and the overall design is very attractive and yet "business-like". The overall quality is top-notch. High quality materials, modern classy designs, perfect function. My only regret is that someday I will have to pass these down to my sons, grandsons! A con for me is the pocket clip. I personally do not use them, and on some of these models, it is nearly impossible to remove them. That is NOT a fault of the company, as they are mounted and function as designed, I just personally do not care for pocket clips.
