Description
KA7503: 7503 Jarosz Turok
KA-BAR

The KA-BAR 7503 Jarosz Turok is the second knife under the KA-BAR/Jarosz banner. The 6.25" blade is made in the USA from 1095 Cro-Van steel. It measures 11.5" overall and comes with a friction fit Celcon sheath. This is a perfect sized fixed blade for tactical, camp and survival tasks in a svelte design by custom knifemaker Jesse Jarosz.

The Jarosz family has a long and proud tradition of working with their hands to produce quality products, from woodworking to general carpentry. Jesse used his family's knowledge, work ethic, and access to equipment at a young age to build the skills that would lead to the creation of Jarosz Knives.

Zytel Handles
Zytel Handles A nylon polymer that is lightweight and extremely durable, Zytel can be shaped and textured to provide excellent grip.
1095 Carbon Steel
1095 Carbon Steel An excellent hard use steel, 1095 is a primary choice for camping and larger fixed blade knives for its extreme toughness and ability to hold an edge. Corrosion resistance is very limited with this steel (it will rust) and most blades come with a coating to prevent premature rusting.

Another Classic Ka-Bar In The Making
This knife is quite the slicer, and fits the hand really well. Sheath retention is almost too tight, but is better than being loose. The top half of the blade has a swedge that can easily have an edge put on it. It is purposefully designed this way as Jarosz himself intended the knife to be a combat/utility blade. The knife came with a sharp edge from the factory, and didn't take too long put my own personal angle on it. The sheath holds the knife with no noise if rattled. A lot of synthetic material sheaths are noisy buggers. Not so with the Turok, but you have to have decent coordination and strength during the break in period. This knife was put into my survival blade rotation, because its design is very similar to other no frills, full tang blades. And at the price, it is a near un-beatable blade value for quality, USA made cutlery.
