KS1830ORBLK: 1830ORBLK Oso Sweet, KnifeCenter Exclusive
Kershaw Knives

This is indeed one sweet little pocketknife. The Oso Sweet features a classic drop-point blade that gives you maximum workaday utility, at the same time, this knife has plenty of style and features that will get it—and you—noticed. First of all, the Oso Sweet opens one-handed with SpeedSafe assisted opening.

Just pull back on the ambidextrous flipper and the blade moves out of the handle ready for use. Whether you’re a left-hander or right-hander, your blade is easy to access and ready to go when you are. Kershaw heat-treats the 8Cr13MoV blade steel to bring out its high-performance characteristics like good edge retention, strength, hardness and wear resistance.

The handle is orange glass-filled nylon for excellent durability and incorporates a textured "scale" pattern that gives the Oso Sweet a unique look. A locking liner secures the blade during use and recloses easily for pocket carry or storage. The pocket clip can be reversed for tip-up or tip-down carry. The Oso Sweet is one of Kershaw's most popular knives and definitely one of our favorites, that's why we had to get it in this KnifeCenter Exclusive configuration. Once you get your hands on one and start using it, we think it will be pretty popular with you, too.

Pros: Handle Feel, Blade Sharpness, Weight, Ease of Opening
Cons: None
Good knife for beating on at work
The few guys who gave this negative reviews basically just complained that it wasn't sharp from the factory. If you can't sharpen this knife, then you should probably not be carrying one at all. I got mine razor sharp within 30 seconds on the stone. The only complaint I have with it was the flipper button. It's hard to press. I filed it down a bit and bam, it's perfect. Blade is perfect size and no blade play. The assist works great.... very fast. The guys complained about the torx screws, lol but they are the same size screws as any other folder.....t6 and t8. Simple. For 20 bux u cannot go wrong here. Trust me, it's a great knife to bring to work and not worry about beating the crap out of it, and it will be reliable too

My 2nd Oso.
The knife is light to carry and easy to spot being that it is orange. The blade is sharp and it opens quickly.

Kudos to Kershaw and the Knife Center
I've always carried a small pocket knife (like an Uncle Henry Schrade folder SCHLB 3) but the Kershaw Oso Sweet Assisted Flipper is my first assisted knife and I like the larger blade and the convenience of one hand to open it. Kershaw knives have a good reputation and when I saw it on sale at the Knife Center for under $20 bucks, I figured what could I lose. Normally, you get what you pay for, but I was pleasantly surprised. I've been using it as an EDC for a month or so and I like it. The pocket clip keeps it secure and convenient. I'm able to keep a very sharp edge on it and it does what I expect a knife to do: It cuts ! Good customer service. I received delivery (free) before the estimated date. Kudos to Kershaw and the Knife Center.
