KS1920: 1920 Select Fire
Kershaw Knives

Most multi-tools include a plethora of "tools," many of which are not actually very useful. Even worse, in many of these tools, the important knife blade is an afterthought--and barely useful at all. Not the Select Fire.

The Select Fire was built to be a knife-focused multi-tool. It's built around a knife blade, a knife blade that works and works well. For strength and edge-holding capability, the Select Fire's blade is made of 8Cr13MoV stainless steel and bead-blasted for an easy care, matte look. What's more, the Select Fire offers a surprisingly comfortable grip, so it's actually easy to hold as you use that big, useful blade--something most multi-tools can't say.

Designed by Grant & Gavin Hawk, the Select Fire is also a handy multi-tool. There's a 4-piece bit set, plus the bit driver. The bits, two flathead and two crosshead, are in on-board carriers that swings out to let you choose your bit, then swings back to snap into place. Black liners give it a sleek, finished look. The contoured glass-filled nylon handle is equally comfortable whether you're using the blade or the bits. The Select Fire makes a great addition to every tool and truck box. In fact, it's so handy you might want to get two.

Cons: None
Your first EDC choice
I have owned this knife for what feels like 10 years. I have used it easily 1,000 times for a myriad of tasks. The graphics don't show off the fact that it's a bottle opener when you deploy the bit driver. And unlike other products, this uses standard 1/4" hex bits - so you can load it with whatever wacky torx or square bit you would normally need to drag around a kit to have on hand. The blade takes a TON of abuse, and I have run mine down with years of sharpening. The pocket clip is snug and durable (about 3x per year I need to snug the hex screws up again) but does not destroy your pants. The liner lock works as well as the day it was made. I will buy another and contend that anyone who has a need to fix things on the fly (open up a kid's toy or make a quick repair) needs this knife.

Cons: Blade Sharpness
Extremely handy and a great buy
Got this for the girlfriend, as she needs a screwdriver at work a lot and is often far from her toolbox. She absolutely loves it! And most of her work center have since ordered their own. My only complaint is that the screwdriver bit end doesn't lock open, although it has yet to fail to stay open I'm just wary, and the blade stays "sharp" but doesn't hold a very fine edge for long. 8.5/10 though, good knife especially for the price.

Good all around
They are right this is but around the blade as any good knife should be. As for ease of use yup has that too, and when you need the multi tools driver, the bits are very handy and easily gotten to and taken out ,they fit in the driver easy, and fall out so your looking for them all the time, there's why I only gave it 4 stars,
