Class and convenience.

Designed by Les George, the Westin’s long, lean lines make it a good-looking carry, while its does-it-all drop-point blade makes it convenient for most any cutting task.

Inspired by the character Michael Westin on the USA Network’s Burn Notice, the Westin is a larger knife and features a 3.5-inch blade. And while the blade has a symmetrical profile, it has an asymmetrical blade grind. The top grind slims down the blade, looks Michael Westin-chill, and emphasizes the point. It also makes a lot of blade very easy to carry. 8Cr13MoV steel ensures this blade takes and holds its edge. The stonewashed blade finish looks good and helps hide use scratches.

The Westin features SpeedSafe assisted opening for simple, smooth, one-handed opening. To enhance its streamlined look, the Westin doesn’t have a thumb stud; just pull back on the flipper and it’s ready to go to work. An oversized decorative pivot just adds to this EDC’s sleek good looks.

The handle is contoured to fit the hand for a secure grip. A textured faux G-10 front handle scale enhances grip even more. The steel back, with stonewashed finish, features a secure frame lock to ensure safe blade lock up during use. The Westin’s pocket clip is left/right reversible for convenient pocket carry, too.
  • Flipper - May be used on either manual or assisted opening knives. The “flipper” is a protrusion on the back of the blade that the user can pull back on, or flip, in order to move the blade easily out of the handle.
  • SpeedSafe - Assists you to open any SpeedSafe knife quickly and easily with a manual push on the thumbstud or pull back on the flipper; built into many Kershaw best sellers.
  • Frame Lock - A portion of the handle (the knife frame) moves behind the blade to lock it into position during use. This is a safety feature of the knife.
  • Reversible - Pre-drilled holes in the handle enable the user to change either the tip position or the side on which the knife carries.
  • Blade Length: 3.5" (8.9 cm)
  • Closed Length: 4.3" (10.9 cm)
  • Overall Length: 7.8" (19.8 cm)

At this price? Wow!
I bought this knife for twice the money a few years ago, and was very happy with the purchase (see my reviews, below). Now the knife is under 20 bucks. Seriously?! No, it's not a 'super steel' but it's fine for EDC, and every bit of about a $60 knife.I'm buying two or three of them now, at this price! Great gifts for the right people down the road. And I still have mine from a few years ago, and still carry it in my EDC rotation, right along with the ZTs and other higher-end production knives. Just amazing quality at this price point.

Pros: Lock Type, Pocket Clip, Blade Sharpness, Blade Material, Handle Material, Lock Ease of Use, Handle Feel, Ease of Opening, Overall Quality
Cons: Weight, None
Awesome price, amazing knife
You will see this knife and pick it up. Its a little (very little) heavy but it flips open like a flash thanks to the Kershaw Speed Safe. You will admire the design and figure it will probably cost at least $60 or so. You will do a double take when you see its $21!This knife is my EDC. It is razor sharp and amazing looking. It’s inexpensive. I am going to buy another one or two as backup or in case they quit making it. It is really that good. It also looks like a expensive custom but easily affordable if you happen to lose it.Go find this knife on the Knifecenter shop, or even better, find one you can hold and see, then buy it on Knifecenter. You will NOT be disappointed. Go look!

Great Knife!
Burn Notice was one of my favorite shows so I had to get this knife.Very impressed with it so far. Blade was fairly sharp out of the box; a quick session (maybe 2 minutes) with my Spyderco sharpener brought it to a razor edge that held up very well cutting ribbons and boxes at Christmas. The steel is Chinese and I had my doubts but I also own a Spyderco that uses the same steel and it's held up to whatever I dished out to it. I have big hands and this is probably the smallest size knife I would carry regularly but it feels nice in the hand. The assisted opening/flipper combination makes for easy deployment of the blade. The frame lock is solid with no play whatsoever. Closing the blade is easy but no so easy that you could do it accidentally. I'd highly recommend this knife to anyone looking for a good quality knife that performs well without putting a significant dent in your bank account.
