Kershaw Knives

Kershaw Knives and Emerson Knives have joined forces on a series of knives that combine the precision engineering of Kershaw with Emerson's uncompromising functional design.

The CQC-6K features a modified clip-point blade for versatile cutting ability. The blade has a black oxide finish. The handle's front scale of textured G10 offers a secure grip and the handle's stainless steel back has a solid frame lock.

The CQC-6K is a manual opener using either the thumb disk or the patented Emerson "wave shaped feature." This opening feature enables the knife to be opened as it is removed from the pocket. By the time the knife has been fully withdrawn from the pocket, the blade is deployed and ready for use. A small wave-shaped tab on the top of the blade is built to catch on the pocket seam, opening the knife as it comes out of the pocket. This instant-open feature is a favorite among military, rescue and law enforcement knife users.

This knife design based off the Emerson Endeavor model without the thumb hole and the pocket clip is reversible for left- or right-handed carry.
  • Manual -There is no mechanical assist, such as SpeedSafe, used to open the folding knife. It opens the classic, old-school way.
  • Frame Lock - A portion of the handle (the knife frame) moves behind the blade to lock it into position during use. This is a safety feature of the knife.
  • Reversible - Pre-drilled holes in the handle enable the user to change either the tip position or the side on which the knife carries.

8CR13 Stainless Steel
8CR13 Stainless Steel
Considered a value steel, 8Cr13 steel provides adequate corrosion resistance but with slightly more carbon than AUS-8, it will sharpen up and hold an edge better.
G10 Handles
G10 Handles
Formed in a sheet under high pressure by combining fiberglass and an epoxy resin binder. These handles are lightweight and shaped to ensure a solid grip.

Great knife for the price
Mine is the stone washed blade version, which doesn't seem to be in the catalogue now. Came sharp, solid lockup without side play. I'm really getting to like the wave opener. So far, just EDC, no real hard use, but has done fine opening boxes, cutting string, etc. The blade holds its edge well, and has been no trouble to touch up. The single G10 scale is OK, maybe not ideal, but it's hard to cry given the price point. Speaking of which, I ordered two on the off chance that I either beat one up or they quit stocking these. And, sure enough, the model I got is not currently listed here. The black blade doesn't bother me, but it is slightly higher priced.

One of the best budget Emersons
I have two of these bad boys, a great Emerson knife at a quarter of the cost. Easy opening on one, the other I had to adjust the pivot screw ever so slightly. Great EDC size and I love the Emerson wave feature which opens the knife when taken out of the pocket in a certain way. These are mean looking knives and at this price, a no brainer. It's not an assisted opener but they are smooth enough to open one handed. It would be great if they had different grip materials used. Sharp out of the box, this is one of the best "cheap" knives available. Get one for your collection.
