Pros: Ease of Opening, Overall Quality, Handle Feel, Weight, Blade Sharpness, Lock Ease of Use, Lock Type
GOOD STURDY KNIFE !
The reason I got this knife was not to compare it to my actual Emerson's,(that seems like it would be kind of pointless) but just to see what it was like. I was pleasantly surprised. For $42 dollars it's quite a good knife. Shaving sharp out of the box. Opens and closes easily. Has the Wave feature. I don't use it much, even on my Emerson's even though I have practiced doing it, but its'still there if you ever need it. Handle grip is decent. No blade play and lock up looks to be about 40 percent, which is alright. Like the two tone finish on the blade, looks pretty cool. Looks like it has Teflon washers on the pivot which is okay at this price. Overall fit and finish are pretty good, nothing I can complain about. While I was writing this review I kept forgetting to try not to compare it to my "real" Emerson's, so I had to keep going back and changing things. If you just let it stand on its own, I can say, for the money you pay for it, it's a great knife. Get one and I don't think you'll be sorry. Oh yeah, it comes with longer screws for changing the clip to the other side. Be careful when you unbox it, mine fell out of the box when I was taking the knife out and I almost didn't notice them. Was originally going to give it four stars, but that would have been comparing it to my other Emerson's again. Looking at it on it's own, I had to give it a five because of the price. Thanks to Knife Center for another good knife.
