Kershaw Knives
Want a larger Kershaw-Emerson? This is your knife.

The CQC-4KXL offers a larger blade of just under 4 inches, with a G10 front scale and steel back. A sturdy frame lock secures the blade open during use and releases easily to close.

Of course the CQC-4KXL features the patented Emerson "wave shaped feature." A small wave-shaped tab on the top of the blade is built to catch on the pocket seam, opening the knife as it comes out of the pocket. This instant-open feature is a favorite among military, rescue, and law enforcement knife users.

Alternatively, you could just use the built-in thumb disk to open the CQC-4KXL manually. We include a reversible pocketclip for left- or right-handed carry.
  • Frame Lock - A portion of the handle ( the knife frame) moves behind the blade to lock it into position during use. This is a safety feature of the knife.
  • Reversible - Pre-drilled holes in the handle enable the user to change either the tip position or the side on which the knife carries.
  • Manual - There is no mechanical assist, such as SpeedSafe, used to open the folding knife. It opens the classic, old- school way.
  • Blade Length: 3.9" (9.9 cm)
  • Handle Length: 5" (12.7 cm)
  • Overall Length: 9" (22.9 cm)

Awesome Knife
This is my go to EDC. It goes everywhere with me. Love the nearly 4" blade. I recommend this knife to anyone who wants a well designed, no frills knife that works as hard as you do. I recommend going to www.bladehq.com. They are selling this knife for $19.95.... #knifelife

The reason I got this knife was not to compare it to my actual Emerson's,(that seems like it would be kind of pointless) but just to see what it was like. I was pleasantly surprised. For $42 dollars it's quite a good knife. Shaving sharp out of the box. Opens and closes easily. Has the Wave feature. I don't use it much, even on my Emerson's even though I have practiced doing it, but its'still there if you ever need it. Handle grip is decent. No blade play and lock up looks to be about 40 percent, which is alright. Like the two tone finish on the blade, looks pretty cool. Looks like it has Teflon washers on the pivot which is okay at this price. Overall fit and finish are pretty good, nothing I can complain about. While I was writing this review I kept forgetting to try not to compare it to my "real" Emerson's, so I had to keep going back and changing things. If you just let it stand on its own, I can say, for the money you pay for it, it's a great knife. Get one and I don't think you'll be sorry. Oh yeah, it comes with longer screws for changing the clip to the other side. Be careful when you unbox it, mine fell out of the box when I was taking the knife out and I almost didn't notice them. Was originally going to give it four stars, but that would have been comparing it to my other Emerson's again. Looking at it on it's own, I had to give it a five because of the price. Thanks to Knife Center for another good knife.

I'm a big fan of the Kershaw Emerson and when I received it it was razor-sharp when he came out of the box and I go nowhere without it I use it every day and very happy with it.
