KS7900GRYBLK: 7900GRYBLK Launch 7, Gray
Kershaw Knives

With its machined handle and integrated backspacer, the Launch 7, designed by Tim Galyean, has an industrial look that takes it out of the ordinary — way out of the ordinary.

With a long 3.75" clip point blade of CPM-154, the Launch 7 offers a long, lean profile. The steel is the powdered metallurgy version of the popular 154CM knife steel. This version offers improved toughness, grindability, and polishability as well as providing excellent corrosion resistance and edge retention. The handle is highly sculpted for an attention-grabbing look. Machined contours on both handle top and bottom give the Launch 7 its modern, industrial aesthetic as well as ensuring a solid grip. The backspacer is fully integrated into the handle, adding to the Launch 7’s solid feel and great look. The handle is built of aluminum for lighter weight and is anodized in gray, making it stand out from the rest of the Kershaw automatic line.

The Launch 7 opens with a push of a button and the blade locks into place, ready for use. To release the lock, push the button again and fold the blade back into the handle. The pocket clip is left/right reversible for convenient pocket carry.
Features
  • Push-button Lock: It locks the blade open during use, then releases with the push of a button for storage.
  • Reversible: Pre-drilled holes in the handle enable the user to change either the tip position or the side on which the knife carries
  • Made In The USA: When you see this on one of our knives, it means the knife was made in Kershaw's Tualatin, Oregon manufacturing facility by skilled Kershaw knifemakers.

Great Knife
This is probably my favorite EDC knife at this point. I have had it for a year and it keeps an edge, not bad to sharpen, it is well balanced, fits comfortably in my pocket, the clip has been great and can be set to either side of the knife and although I was a bit afraid of it opening in my pocket I have never had an issue with it accidentally opening. When deploying it has a little kick but not enough that it has even popped out of my hand.Since I purchased it this knife has not given me any kinds of problems. This is an item truly worthy of the Captain's Seal of Approval. Yarg.

The Wicked Switch of the East
I have had this for some time. It is not an EDC because it DOES come open in my pocket. I cut the crop out of my pinkie several times. The first cut was the deepest. Everything else about this is great. I might pick up a Launch 3. I recently acquired a Klein pliers carrier. The 7 just might find its way into my EDC rotation. If this knife had a lock to deactivate the opening, it would have gotten a 5. Deep down, I want my knives to respect me. Or, at the very least, not to attack me.

Ouch, sharp
This is one great knife. Holds a razor edge and not that hard to sharpen. It kicks with force when opening, so hang on. The balance is awesome and very light weight. I Highly recommend this USA made knife.
