Description
KUKI5463A2: Ki5463A1 Matt Cucchiara Bad Dog Folding Knife, Bomb Engraved
Kizer Cutlery

The Ki5463A2 Bad Dog flipper by Kizer Cutlery is a collaborative project between Kizer and custom knifemaker Matt Cucchiara of Cucchiara Custom Knives. A good dog is a faithful companion that will guard your back in any trouble spot. The Bad Dog will do all that and more, with a fist full of attitude. A distinct recurve shape adds to the bite of the Bad Dog as it chases away evil and makes sure it never returns. It features a 4.25" stonewashed CPM-S35VN blade with an organic recurved shape and jimped flipper tab. The bearing pivot system allows for smooth blade opening, as with all Kizer knives. The stonewashed titanium handles are some of the most comfortable we've ever held and also some of the most beautiful. The presentation scale features machined bomb engravings which Matt is well-known for. Every surface and every edge is contoured for comfort and gives the knife a very high-class look and feel. It features a replaceable steel lockbar insert that doubles as an overtravel preventer and comes with a tip up carry, milled titanium pocket clip.

Kizer uses high-tech wire EDM machines to cut the parts. This method is slower than laser or water jet but feel quality is worth the wait. Each component in Kizer knives are precision machined and engineered to the finest tolerances. The final fit, finish, action and sharpness of each knife are achieved entirely by hand, employing the irreplaceable craftsmanship developed by generations of cutler masters. Dedicated craftsman honoring the long-term goal of making the best knives possible is what Kizer brings to you.

Pros: Blade Material, Ease of Opening, Lock Ease of Use, Handle Material, None
Cons: Handle Feel, Overall Quality
QC issues
Received mine and returned it 30 min later. There were numerous issues with the frame lock side of the knife all being burrs in the Ti. Its almost as if their CNC machine went off program or the Ti handle went off fixture during the process.Blade was perfectly centered, but for $240 this knife should have been flawless.Kizer seems to be hit or miss in my experience. I also received a Kizer Gunhammer with a large burr on the blade and a third hole near the pocket clip scree hole, where it seems the drill bit slipped out and started a 3rd hole.
