LZTAILCAPHL: High/Low Tailcap Switch for Bravo/Charlie Models

Elzetta Tactical Lighting

This high/low tailcap is usable on both Bravo and Charlie models. The high/low tailcap enables two output modes on the flashlight with just a simple turn of the tailcap. When fully rotated clockwise the flashlight enables high output. With just a few degrees twist in a counter-clockwise direction enables the low output mode on the light. Not Compatible with Alpha model.

Elzetta is driven by a Golden Rule philosophy; make flashlights for others the way you would have others make flashlights for you. With this in mind most all of Elzetta's components are modular so you can take the part from one model and simply put it on a different one. By having this modular design you can customize your flashlight just the way you want it.

How to Use

  • High/Low Tailcap - Rotate tailcap fully clockwise for full output. Rotate counter-clockwise for reduced output.

Great product, great service.
I own three Elzetta's. They are, in my opinion, the toughest flashlight there is. They are relatively expensive but if you need the very best in dependabilty, it's worth every penny. The Elzetta is first and foremost a weapon light. For a weapon mounted light, I prefer a simple on-off "clicky" switch. (No modes or multi-click interfaces here!) However, installing a high/low tailcap on an Elzetta instantly transforms this workhorse into a versatile (albeit over built) EDC light. Fully seat the cap and it works just like a clicky, depress half way for momentary and fully depress to click into steady-on. Back off the cap about 1/4 turn and the switch works exactly the same but the beam output is dramatically reduced. Also, if you click into steady on, twisting the tailcap will alternate between high and low. My Charlie AVS puts out 900 lumens on high, great for lighting up whatever is out there at 100 yards or blinding an opponent but to walk the dog or move around the house during a power failure, it's complete overkill! When backed off to low mode, it puts out a kinder, gentler 30 lumens. This is perfect for the more common tasks and vastly extends run-time. (50 hrs on low!) To conclude, if you have an Elzetta of any flavor, GET THIS! By the way, Knifecenter had the best price when it went on sale and shipped uber fast!
