Not Leavin' Home W/O It
After MUCH searching & testing, I finally settled on the EC 20 flashlight and, after purchasing several other NiteCore products, I believe I have a winner in the light department. Being that I already have other devices that use 18650 Li ion batteries, choosing was a bit easier having a power source(or multiple) available, as in a pinch one can use CR123 disposables(or RCR123 if available).Compactness was foremost as was durability, brightness & ease of use close seconds. I now always have charged 18650's when needed but can toss in 2 disposables(albeit more expensive), with one selling point being their low self-discharge rate & their size, 1/2 of the rechargeable(slip a piece of paper to make up the difference). I'm going to use the daylights out of this little guy & see if the unit holds up-heard of some long term reliability issues-if this happens I'll be sure to update as necessary. Hoping for the best, preparing for the worst...that's all any of us can do.
