Superb Quality Canning Knife
I have been looking for this knife for years. My grandfather used to work in a canning factory, so these knives were around throughout my entire youth. I was dismayed when one of my children broke the last one. They had lasted at least 40 years. I use the knife for cutting hard vegetables such as carrots and potatoes, skinning tomatoes, cutting through gristle on beef...just about anything. Although they are remarkably sharp, we have rarely cut ourselves with them. The size of the handle allows one to grip it for a long time without the hand becoming tired. The quality of this knife is unsurpassed. There is nothing it won't do.
