Description
QAQTR11TT: QTR-11tt General Lee 2 Folding Knife, Texas Tea, Designed by G&G Hawk
QTRMSTR

The General Lee 2 from QTRMSTR is affectionately known as the "pace car" for the knife industry in 2016, released on January 1st. It features many design innovations Grant and Gavin Hawk are known for in a unique design that you probably haven't seen or held before. It's quality through and through and truly an awesome blade.

The QTR-12 is a collaborative effort with the Hawk Knives design team from Idaho City, ID. The full-titanium rocker chassis is unlike anything that's ever been made in the history of tactical knives. Each piece is individually milled and assembled by hand to exacting tolerances. Each part has been cut by wire EDM, milled to shape, black coated, stonewashed, then smoothed by hand, for a perfect fit and durable finish.

Out in front, QTRMSTR has installed a lightly black stonewashed CPM-S35VN tanto blade with blood grooves and milled holes that glide effortlessly with the help of its design-integrated flipper. The dual thumb studs provide ample purchase and double as the blade stop when in the open position.

Beware - no knife in the world has opening/closing action like this one. It operates more like the suspension of a Formula One race car than it does a traditional folding knife. Its action is fascinating, innovative and tough to put down.

About the Ceramic ORB Pivot System

The ORB Pivot System is a sealed ceramic ball-bearing technology that is widely considered the second generation of an open-bearing system that is being used by some manufacturers today.

The ORB's advantages are plenty: dirt and pocket lint cannot impede the track of these rollers as they're encased. The ball-bearing system tightens the tolerances in and around the pivot of the folding knife. As a result, the lockup is vault tight, yet the rollers allow for almost effortless rotation.

The lack of 'play' at any point on the rotational axis of the blade is truly unlike anything currently being made at this price point in the United States.

I Just Really Like This Thing
This is the only knife I will probably never use as a knife. A knife it is, sharp and bladey, but it is at the same so much more. I really coveted one of these for a long time after stumbling across them. I spent many long months staring at a screen and wishing. I saved what I could for some time and got it for myself for my birthday- what a gift. The action of this knife is simply.. mesmerizing. So smooth, so unique, so futuristic. It is fabulous. There is nothing else like it out there, how it combines all the beauty and pleasant weight and mechanism and masterful design into something that.. isn't just a knife anymore. Look, you want one. Everyone wants one. Probably the single highest quality possession I have, and well worth it. It goes everywhere with me, I hate putting it down. It cuts well and serves its purpose, and is a sturdy and reliable EDC (though a little bulky for some). There are only two downsides to this knife, as far as I can see. For me, the handle is just a shade too short to be held really comfortably- but I guess I just have big hands. It is by no means a deal breaker and it is still very usable. The other is price. It is a bit pricey. Bet lets not lie, its for a good reason. Everything about this piece of art is top quality, you can feel it in every inch. You can see it. Feel it exuding grace. Just an amazing amazing piece. My favourite knife of all time. It is edged out of the box but you may want to put in a little work with tablestones or whatever equipment you prefer to give it a leg up- like any factory fresh blade.10/10 would bankrupt myself to own more

The only "toy" you will play with more than your cell phone
We like toys in our company...knives, guns, axes...you name it we got it. The General Lee is the most popular "Toy" in the office. It is the go to Toy when you are on a never ending conference call or interviewing a 'weeny millennial'. If you get bored it will wake you up The engineering on this knife is amazing. it is so well constructed an the open mechanism provides hours of entertainment. It is hard to believe the number of ways you can open and close this knife. We have competitions to see who can open and close the blade the fastest. We have several in the office and are going to get more. We are thinking about giving every employee one along with a lap top and cell phone. You have got to buy one of these...
