RCTERTIARYNH: Izula Tertiary without Handle Scales
ESEE Knives
ESEE Knives introduced the Tertiary knife at the 2016 BLADE Show. The Tertiary was developed by SWAT officer Lee Smith as a Law Enforcement / Military defense tool. Born from the legendary Izula line, the "Tertiary" name (meaning third in order or level) comes from an edged weapon's natural place in the panoply of personal weapons (primary firearm, backup firearm and then close-quarters weapons). Its design characteristics target specific professional needs such as swift, effective deployment, reliable cutting and penetration, low visibility profile, modular carry options, and robust construction. Simple straight punch, jab, and hammer fist strikes yield tremendous cutting potential with minimal training or effort. The sheath works well in the waist area from the 10 to 2 o'clock positions. Clipped in a vertical position under a duty belt or inside the pants gives more than enough retention for a clean draw stroke and safe re-sheathing. The clip plate can be removed to expose the accessory holes to facilitate paracording to MOLLE webbing, or worn as a neck sheath.

1095 Carbon Steel
1095 Carbon Steel
An excellent hard use steel, 1095 is a primary choice for camping and larger fixed blade knives for its extreme toughness and ability to hold an edge. Corrosion resistance is very limited with this steel (it will rust) and most blades come with a coating to prevent premature rusting.

An exceptional piece of steel!
My first experience with KC was fabulous. Ordered on 22DEC2017 and received the blade in Seattle on 26DEC2017. Cross country in three days on Xmas weekend. Nice job KC! I'm not generally a fan of coated blades because the coating is so easily damaged and removed. That said, this knife isn't for woodcraft or general camp use and will only be cutting soft things, so there's minimal risk of damaging the finish. Initially, I tried a paracord wrap on the handle, but wasn't satisfied with the grip and switched it for the Izula G-10 handles. What a huge improvement (though I'd rather have the Micarta version that is only available on certain Izula knives)! The G-10 are solid and textured for a secure grip and make the Tertiary a lot more comfortable. The spine is sharpened to a razor edge for about an inch from the tip allowing slashes from any direction. The blade snaps securely into the black sheath and has a backplate for a boot clip. A great weapon in a small package.

Push dagger
Perfect gift for my son who is a police officer. I hope he never has to use it. Small, compact, easy to grab easy to hold.

Excellent Purchase
I really enjoy the Izula Tertiary Push Dagger. The sheath, design of the handle and blade make it exceptionally compact and accessible. I would highly recommend this knife.
