Real Steel Knives
Based on the quintessential designs of Japanese knives, the Ippon is an emulation of Western knife structure and Eastern knife aesthetics. The Ippon is translated literally into English as 'One Point,' the highest point a fighter can achieve in Japanese martial arts. This knife is the first Real Steel collaboration with knife industry veteran Chad Los Banos, whose special understanding of Asian culture brought the idea of 'One Point' and Asian design ethics to the drawing board. Utilizing what is to become RSK's standard material, the pristine Bohler N690 blade provides and hair-splitting precise cut.
The knife has been designed as a front flipper having a visually striking and somewhat seldom seen flipper tab arising from the head. A block backspacer was intentionally left out, instead, being replaced with a birdcage column structure that maximizes safety preventing the risk of damage to the blade when closing and also creating a strong and sturdy structure.
The handles are fitted with precision machined G10. Impeccable straight lines have been machined out of the material adding to the traditional Asian feel. Includes microfiber cloth.
