monsterly impressive
Man, if you ever want to say "thats not a knife Ill show you a knife" with just a folding knife, this might be it! Really impressive blade and monster handle are very high quality and not too large in the pocket, at least if you are used to carrying a large heavy cell phone (now that many are). This thing could be hung on the wall of a knife shop it is so massive. I would certainly take this car-camping and know I could pound in tent stakes leaving the hammer behind. Ditto for the combo blade to saw small branches for the fire. If you are lacking a really big knife in your collection, this one is a great bargain and has decent action (for its size) too. One handed opening and closing are pretty fun if not a bit of a workout. Even the liner lock is overbuilt such that I dont miss it not being a frame lock which I would normally prefer in a large folder. Big and beautiful at the same time. Crkt has done it again.

Realy big solid folder
I was expecting a big knife, and this knife is really big and solid. It was sharp out of the box but I noted a small bur or irregularity on the edge which a few passes with a sharpening stone fixed and made the knife even sharper. I really like Veff serrations on any knife and how they can glide through materials. For me, this is not an opening-up-in-public knife, but rather would be a good substitute for for a conspicuous fixed blade on a hiking trail or other outdoor area. It can be opened with small pressure on the thumb stud and flick of the wrist. I like the sheath rather than a pocket clip, as it would be hard to use a pocket for anything other than this big folder. Really cool knife!
