Description
SCHF38: SCHF38 Frontier Fixed Blade
Schrade

A knife designed for every breed of outdoor enthusiast, the SCHF38's rugged full tang design and overall length of 11.15" makes for a capable, versatile cutting tool. The 6" black powder coated drop point blade of corrosion resistant 1095 high carbon steel is tough enough to handle the challenges of the wilderness.

1/4" thick blade steel offers a tough tip capable of piercing a wide range of materials while the fine edge is slicing sharp straight out of the box.

The knife offers its 90 degree spine as a striker against the ferro rod that comes packed in the sheath’s pouch—together with a sharpening stone. The rugged blade lets you baton with confidence.

Top and underside jimping on the ring textured TPE handle, in tandem with ergonomic contouring, keep the SCHF38 under control and in your hand in all weather conditions. Extend security by passing cordage through the lanyard hole. The tang extension at the base of the handle transforms the knife into a crushing tool.

Lash the black nylon sheath to gear or leg… the Velcro loop’s flexible design lets you easily attach the sheath without removing your belt. A single snap holds the SCHF38 secure while providing quick access.

A versatile, all black knife ready for the rigors of the wild, crafted from premium materials and built for a lifetime. This is the Schrade SCHF38 Frontier Survival Knife.

1095 Carbon Steel
1095 Carbon Steel An excellent hard use steel, 1095 is a primary choice for camping and larger fixed blade knives for its extreme toughness and ability to hold an edge. Love the knife
Bought it as a gift for my oldest son. He absolutely loves the knife. He brings it to the hunting camp on the weekends.

This thing is a tank!
This knife is a beast, I use it for camping/bushcraft and there is nothing I wouldn't do with it. For a knife this size, it handles well for smaller jobs, and really steps up to the plate when you want to chop/carve/hammer the things that a big knife can. Its also heavy enough to make a hand hatchet optional. :-)

Good Knife for the Price
I use the knife for some average chopping and batoning and the knife handles the job great. I've really put a beating on it and have had no problems other than the coating. It chips really easily and just doesn't do much to protect the metal. Overall I am very pleased with the quality of the knife for the price.
