SCHGK1: Gurkha Kukri
Here at KnifeCenter, we love us they are the enlightened version of the standard machete. Having that bulbous nose on the blade makes them so much more effective at chopping--and so much easier on our tired arms and shoulders.
The Schrade Gurkha Kukri Machete has a 12.8" black powder coated 3Cr13 stainless steel blade. 3Cr13 takes a very sharp edge and provides quite adequate corrosion resistance. The TPE handles are a hard rubberized plastic which provides an extremely secure grip under any weather conditions. Included with the Kukri is a woven fabric sheath that comes complete with both a carry strap and a leg strap.

A matter of perspective
This is a good knife. As a matter of comparison, this is not a top-of-the-line blade. But not everyone can afford a high end blade. There are many, many people who wish they were able to buy an expensive knife, especially with the Christmas season coming up, but they cannot. What they can afford, however, is the good knife. There is no shame in carrying a blade that cost but little. Those fathers and mothers who want to buy a meaningful gift for their children, or for a cherished loved one, please remember that dignity has nothing to do with cost. Buy what you can afford, after doing a little homework, and so cement your family bonds with love. Because when I was a boy, and my father could not afford for us what he wished he could, I was overjoyed to have what he could provide. This is not the best knife, but it is a good knife. It can still make the best Christmas that many, many persons of modest means have had yet. Please hold on to that knowledge, and be encouraged. Thanks, KnifeCenter, for forging many happy holidays for so many different walks of life.Merry Christmas, and God Bless.
