Skelton Bladeworks Custom Advanced Tibia Fixed Blade Knife 3.875" San Mai and Raindrop Damascus Clad Wharncliffe Blade, Abyss Inlace Acrylester Handles, No Sheath
SKBADTIBIADAM: Custom Damascus Advanced Tibia Fixed Blade
The Advanced Tibia is a pocket-sized Wharncliffe fixed blade with an attitude. The idea behind this design was to create an EDC sized knife but still, have a massive looking blade. The solution was to make the handle as short as reasonably possible, adding a lot of contouring so that it remained secure in the hand.
This knife is the technical inspection piece Jim put up for the Knifemaker's Guild. It measures 6.75" overall with a 3.875" blade that looks even better in person. It's single sided San Mai Damascus clad with Raindrop Damascus on the other and the presentation side features a 1500 grit hand rubbed satin flat for a little sizzle. Jim chose to keep the edge a bit thicker than on his Occipital model for additional strength, though this knife still has a needlepoint. While a knife this size is not a chopper, it can handle light chopping tasks with ease and is great for food prep. This presentation-grade model features a contoured "Abyss" inlace Acrylester handle, one-of-a-kind Damascus blade, and titanium hardware. The knife does not include a sheath, allowing you to make it truly your own and to carry it exactly the way you see fit or display it with pride. It has excellent build quality on a unique design that is unlike anything else we've seen before and it was handmade in the USA in the same Texas shop as Todd Begg.
