SKCSHYFBLU: SHY Integral Folder, Flat Ground, Blue
Stedemon Knife Company
The Stedemon SHY folder is a high quality design that's as tough as they come and will only be available from the KnifeCenter. It's an integral folder with a monolithic handle made from 6061-T6 Aluminum with an anodized finish. This handle design gives the SHY folder a high amount of strength and durability, while minimizing the weight. It's ergonomic, slim, and has a very nice milled pattern that looks great and actually adds to the grip you get on the knife. The SHY handle comes in four unique anodized colors to match your need or personal style.

The blade measures 3.75" overall, made from CPM-S35VN stainless steel, and is available with either a flat or a hollow grind. It looks like a tanto blade but the flat belly area of the knife blends smoothly into the reinforced tip which makes this knife much more usable as a utility blade. The pivot can easily be adjusted in the field with a flat head screwdriver. The knife is slim, tactical, lightweight for its size, and packed with features you would find on knives twice the price.

Cons: None
So great I got the blue one and the carbon fiber one
I am a collector of knives and have been for about 21 years. I started in the realm of 10-15 dollar knives and worked on up. Now I have one 800 dollar knife and a few 150-450 dollar ones. This makes me feel like I have a good range of expierience in knife buying. I have to say this knife has features that a knife of 350-400 might have but I only paid 160 for it so I am quite happy. I’ll start with the cons because there was only 3 that I saw and two were nothing to worry about. 1 is the knife came with some kind of yellow oil on it that was dried on. It was slightly sticky and was very very hard to clean off, that was a mild irritation but no big deal. 2 the headwear seems a but oversized for this knife while this can give an impression of strength it also takes away from the smooth flowing feel of the knife. This too is no big deal. 3 the last thing I didn’t like was the thickness of the knife in the pocket, it is a big knife that feels like a really big knife when you have it in your jeans. It is super light but the thickness really makes you feel it against your leg, this is one thing that is totally a preference thing and to Some will be nothing. Now the positives. This knife is beautiful and I love the deep but bright blue anodizing and the grey accents. This knife although big does not strike me as being intimidating. I enjoy the light weight and the sturdy blade as well as the fine satin finish on the blade. It came well sharped and as it is s30v I have high expectatins for edge performance. I also would like to say that even though this is made in China the quality is quite high. As I titled this review I would say that this knife is very good! I would recommend this knife as a first experience in the world of 150-200 dollar knives. If you are looking for a quality blade to add to your collection I would say this is a very good one to consider. It offers design features that are mainly found on very high end folders but at a medium range price. I wish more knives had this kind of bang for your buck!
