SOG71: XV71 X-Ray Vision
Two words that best describe the X-Ray Vision series are tactical and practical. This combo edged folder features the same blade design as the SOG Vision like using high-end VG10 steel, but retails at half the price.

Created for optimal performance and value, the X-Ray Vision series is a member of the high-tech family of SOG folding knives. This knife is further enhanced with SOG's revolutionary Arc-Lock for fast-access and full lockup. The X-Ray Vision series keeps a low profile with its bead blasted blade finish and black glass-reinforced nylon (GRN) handle to keep it lightweight and comfortable to hold and carry. A reversible low-carry pocket clip allows both righties and lefties to carry the X-Ray Vision conveniently in pocket, pack, or on vest, belt, or jacket.

With its ambidexterity - and all the other attributes knife enthusiasts so relentlessly seek - the Arc-Lock might just be the perfect lock.

Tested at over 1,000 lbs. of force (measured at the lock), far surpassing conventional lock strength.

Lightning-quick, one-handed opening and closing capability.

Spring-action securely retains blade closed, keeping fingers safely clear while unlocking.

Self-adjusting over time and easily cleaned for long-term optimal performance.

Pros: Ease of Opening, Overall Quality, Handle Feel, Weight, Blade Sharpness, Lock Ease of Use, Lock Type
Cons: None
solid... as always
I used to own a X-ray vision sog a few years ago, don't know how but I lost it. Been looking for another, but was hesitant as I noticed some differences in this one: style and placement of the pocket clip, and the blade metal was jo longer ATS34. Well, even with the small changes I am glad I ordered two of these as this knife is still as solid as my last. Probably sharper and more durable as the VG 10 blade is a step up. All in all a well balanced, easy to handle and use knife; Very sharp, thicker blade than my Sog trident folder. My last X-ray gave me more than 10 years of excellent service. I can't imagine anything less from this one either.

Buy this Knife!
This is a very high quality knife with all the features I look for. Being a southpaw I appreciate that it is left hand friendly. It is solid without a hint of flimsiness. It is my new EDC knife and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

Well Made Knifev
I carry this Knife for EDC on a leg drop holster. The knife is well made and can tell the quality difference with the SOG made in Japan. Knife came extremely sharp out of box. Would recommend highly for self defense even though knife is not auto assisted opening. I enjoy ordering from KnifeCenter because they don't jack up the shipping charges to Hawaii and it's very fast. Cons: I feel the tip of the pocket clip sticks out too far allowing other items to hang up on it. But it's definitely not a deal breaker.
