Baton is a family of multi-tools that provides the functionality of real quality tools while fitting the lifestyle and aesthetics of modern users. Each tool caters to a different use scenario and is complementary to at least two other tools in the family of four. Each one of the four is designed for a different purpose and user.

In slim and innovative form factors, the Batons are not much longer than a pencil and about the thickness of a marker. They fit easily in a pants pocket or in the pen slots of a bag organizer. The sleek, minimalistic design opens up to reveal a variety of useful tools. Each Baton's toolset accommodates separate users: office & personal, urban emergency, basic wilderness & urban essentials, and advanced wilderness & urban essentials.

Love it!
I recently received this as a gift and I love it. Since I’m an avid knitter, I’m always in need of a quick pair of scissors to change colors. This perfectly fits the bill.

Extra scissors!
I have not used it much but so far it seems like overkill. While the entire tool seems very stout and well made , the scissors look and feel like the tiny fold away set in my sewing kit. And for the scissors being so small, the handle is pretty big. But overall, a nice product.

A practical new take on multitools
first review, I've EDC'd the Baton Q1 for 4 days now. Will update if my mood changes. Size: - thickness, lying flat, is equal to a standard sharpie. Lying on a corner, it's wider, closer to a thick sharpie. It's not light, but a metal body is a worthwhile tradeoff in my opinion. Good length. Finish: - seems solid so far! Scissors are tight, spring responsive, bottle opener small but strong and effective. The screwdriver is perhaps the best flathead I've used on a multi tool. Pen is easy to deploy but locks in. - so far, a few nitpicks. The pen hole has some classic plastic manufacturing tabs, the packaging rubbed off on the tool leaving white spots, and the metal body has a couple points where the edges look ragged rather than clean. - the pen isn't the smoothest writer. I'd say average ballpoint. - the pocket clip is very tight. I'd definitely rather have tight that loose, but I am worried about long term wear on my dress pants (reason I got a pen multi tool) and my fingertips. Hopefully it loosens a bit. Observations: - this pen is designed for an angled right front pocket carry. It's subtle and won't give you trouble if your pocket choices differ, but it's a nice design touch I appreciate. - when closing the scissors, don't just bring the pen back to straight, go until it's at a slight curve and they slide smoothly in. TLDR: not perfect finish, plan on replacing the ink, but overall I'm very happy with it so far. Rather than a multi tool knife, I can pocket a pen tool literally anywhere without raising concern. GJ SOG!
