Still #1 Still in my pocket
My previous review says all I have to say, except this: AT ANY PRICE, THIS WOULD BE A VERY GOOD KNIFE...THAT'S DESIGNED AND BUILT IN, AN INTRINSIC QUALITY, THE REGULAR PRICE, MAKES IT A STEAL. $16 MAKES IT IRRESISTIBLE, SO I BOUGHT A COUPLE MORE ( I'm 75 yo. If I was 30 or more years younger I;d get half a dozen and save the shipping to boot) Now I have to say this: had I not bought one those years ago in Walmart, had I not held it in my hand and used it now these last few years, DAILY!, I would not think to buy a $16 knife. I'd figure it was just junk. BUT IT'S NOT!!! IT'S MY DAILY CARRY, AND THE BEST POCKET KNIFE I'VE EVER HAD!!! IT'S REALLY AMAZING.I have had to sharpen it ( the slight concave curve to the edge makes this a pain, but it's still worth it). Buy one, feel it out, then get a bunch for your toolbox. You WON'T BE SORRY!NOTE: I have NO INTEREST WHATSOEVER with this retailer, or the manufacturer! NONE!If you buy one leave a review, so I know I've done some good!

Very Good Especially at this Price
The knife was quite sharp out of the box. As for fit and finish, the blade grind was even on both sides. A minor criticism is that the lock bar sticks up above the handle near the blade pivot just a bit whether open or closed. Opening effort is easy for my small hands, and it's wrist flickable to swing the blade open and engage the back lock. Lockup is very secure. Probably safer to close two handed, as when releasing the lock (which takes some effort - a good thing) the blade can swing down under gravity and knick you on your index finger. Ergonomically, it's thin and very light considering its size. The deep carry clip works pretty well, though I'm not a fan of the SOG branding on it. At least it's black. The handle being thin and aggressively textured, is not comfortable for hard extended cutting, but fine for EDC use. All in all, it's a great knife for the price. I cannot comment on edge retention with the modest steel SOG uses.

The very best pocket knife, I have, or have EVER had!
This is my every day carry, use for everything, go to pocket knife. I have been carrying pocket knives (several at a time, in case one is lost during the day) for over half a century. All of them quality knives, at premium prices. Worked as a North Sea Saturation in my younger days, and used a knife (rope wrench) daily. Had a half dozen in my tool box (Green River Type), always sharp and inexpensive, so when it inevitably dropped overboard, into the sea, I didn't feel the need to jump in after it. Pocket knives, however, GOOD ONES, don't come cheap. Bought this one on a whim, inexpensive gift for a nephew. Never used a Tanto blade before. Broke it out, checked it out, and bought 3 for myself! (I had to buy even more, because I give them out as gifts). GREAT KNIFE!!! Blade shape is excellent! (Only an idiot would question the Japanese on the subject of proficiency of blade shape!) Lock is positive, and secure. Light weight. Sharp right out of the package, and I have yet, after the most part of a year, to sharpen it. And if it falls into the void, it's so inexpensive, that I haven't the slightest need, or urge to jump in after it!!!I still carry knives costing many times more than this one, strictly as backups, should I lose this one, until I get home and replace it with one out of the drawer.ABSOLUTELY THE VERY BEST POCKET KNIFE I'VE EVER HAD!!!I GUESS NOW, THEY'LL DISCONTINUE IT!!!...that's always the way of things.Get a few, while you still can!You will NOT be sorry!
