Description
SP10WDP: C10WDP Endura 4 Pakkawood
Spyderco

This limited edition Exclusive version of the Spyderco Endura 4 was specially manufactured for KnifeCenter and features a laminated HAP40/SUS410 blade and handsome mahogany Pakkawood scales.

Its keen PlainEdge blade features three-layer laminate construction comprised of HAP40 and SUS410 steels. HAP40 is a high-speed tool steel produced by the powder metallurgy process—an advanced manufacturing method that reduces the alloy segregation in the steel and ensures an extremely fine, uniform carbide structure. Containing generous amounts of tungsten, molybdenum, vanadium, and cobalt, HAP40 possesses exceptional toughness and high abrasion resistance—key qualities of a superior blade steel. To provide increased strength and corrosion resistance, the high-performance HAP40 core is flanked by layers of SUS410 martensitic stainless steel. This unique three-layer construction is evident when the full-flat-ground blades are examined closely, as the transition between the core and outer layers is visible just above the blade's cutting edge.

Not to be outdone, the handle of this remarkable knife features full skeletonized stainless steel liners, a stainless steel backspacer, and scales machined from mahogany Pakkawood—a unique material that combines the durability and stability of a phenolic laminate with the beauty of natural wood. All other features of the classic Endura 4, including a sturdy lockback mechanism and four-position pocket clip, are faithfully maintained to make this knife both a fully functional tool and a work of art.

A remarkable expression of the Endura 4 design, this KnifeCenter Exclusive is sure to become a highly prized collector's item. Exact color and grain pattern will vary.

Reliable Design with Classy Materials
As an owner of many Spyderco products this one caught my eye due to the different materials. The blade edge comes razor sharp out of box and has held up well as my EDC. The ghost line on the blade and the Mahogany/Pakkawood handles give this Endura eye catching good looks while maintaining everyday usability, even though it carries a little more weight than the stock Endura. I would recommend this product to anyone, whether they are new to Spyderco, or just looking for something to set their collection apart from the rest. I will definitely be adding the Delica version to my collection as well. Also, as always, Knife Center was spot on with order fulfillment and shipping information. I will be a Spyderco and Knife Center customer for life.

Cons: Lock Ease of Use
Interesting
I use this for daily carry. Great looking, great feel in the hand. Opens easily one handed. The only problem with this style of lock--which is otherwise good--is that you can not activate it and close the knife one handed, at least not easily.
