Description
SP10WDP: C10WDP Endura 4 Pakkawood
Spyderco

This limited edition Exclusive version of the Spyderco Endura 4 was specially manufactured for KnifeCenter and features a laminated HAP40/SUS410 blade and handsome mahogany Pakkawood scales.

Its keen PlainEdge blade features three-layer laminate construction comprised of HAP40 and SUS410 steels. HAP40 is a high-speed tool steel produced by the powder metallurgy process—an advanced manufacturing method that reduces the alloy segregation in the steel and ensures an extremely fine, uniform carbide structure. Containing generous amounts of tungsten, molybdenum, vanadium, and cobalt, HAP40 possesses exceptional toughness and high abrasion resistance—key qualities of a superior blade steel. To provide increased strength and corrosion resistance, the high-performance HAP40 core is flanked by layers of SUS410 martensitic stainless steel. This unique three-layer construction is evident when the full-flat-ground blades are examined closely, as the transition between the core and outer layers is visible just above the blade's cutting edge.

Not to be outdone, the handle of this remarkable knife features full skeletonized stainless steel liners, a stainless steel backspacer, and scales machined from mahogany Pakkawood—a unique material that combines the durability and stability of a phenolic laminate with the beauty of natural wood. All other features of the classic Endura 4, including a sturdy lockback mechanism and four-position pocket clip, are faithfully maintained to make this knife both a fully functional tool and a work of art.

A remarkable expression of the Endura 4 design, this KnifeCenter Exclusive is sure to become a highly prized collector's item. Exact color and grain pattern will vary.

Modern materials, old school lockback charm..?
I received two of these Endura's a few weeks back, WOW what beautiful knives! One has ended up in my collection and the other has become my main EDC. I've removed the clip from the one I carry and unless someone is right near you it just looks like an old school lockback. The only thing some may not like is the weight of the knife, it's approaching the weight of a stainless handle Endura. The HAP40 blade's on both were nice and sharp out of the box, I can't really judge edge retention yet because the knife is too new.Well worth adding to the collection of anyone who loves Spyderco gear (:

Great looks, great blade!
I bought this knife because I thought it looked very good! Upon receiving it, I also found that the hap40 steel comes scary sharp and gets back to it easily. Fantastic cutting tool!

A Real Beauty
As a big Spyderco fan, I have a number of Spydies in my collection, inclusing a Plain Jane Endura. I really like wooden scales, so this edition is a real delight, especially since the wood is treated to be as durable as any of the plastics. Definitely a part of my EDC rotation.
