Custom knifemaker Peter Carey specializes in meticulously crafted knives made with premium, state-of-the-art materials. The Firefly, his first collaboration with Spyderco, captures the spirit of his craftsmanship in a unique production folder. Built on a framework of skeletonized full stainless steel liners, its contoured handle is made using orange G-10 scales and handsome carbon fiber bolsters. The handle is home to a Walker LinerLock mechanism and a saber-ground VG-10 blade with a highly functional drop-point profile. A two-position clip offers right-side tip-up or tip-down carry for easy, immediate access.

Pros: Lock Type, Handle Material, Blade Sharpness, Blade Material, Ease of Opening, Handle Feel, Weight, Lock Ease of Use, Overall Quality
Cons: Pocket Clip, None
Everything but the clip!
This knife is beautiful and wonderfully engineered. It's a bit heavier than I expected, but that's not necessarily a bad thing--it's robust and will probably be able to handle bigger jobs than its size would indicate. The only negative, mentioned by other reviewers here, is how stiff and small the pocket clip is. I'm worried that it will wear out the fabric on my pants' pockets, and it's not always easy to get it back onto my pocket. I might try to fabricate one myself unless KnifeCenter or the designer offer a workaround.

Orange I glad I bought this one!
I just got this, so i can't report on durability or use beyond cutting some cardboard and cord, but I'm very impressed with this knife. It looks way better than I thought -- the G10 is carved enough to give it a little woodgrain effect and it also has a woven carbon fiber texture. Biggest surprise was the liners though -- they are milled and machined really nicely all through the interior of the knife. Far more went into making this knife than I realized and I'm glad I picked one up. The size is just right. It's small enough to just pocket, but when open the blade is still ample with a very useable shape. I get three, maybe 3.5 fingers on it, but that's fine for what it is. Build quality looks spot-on perfect and operation is very smooth. Plus, there's little chance I would ever have cash to spend on an actual Peter Carey knife, but I love his work, so there's that:) My clip works okay, but it's a pretty small and tight clip. Will probably just let this go to the bottom of the pocket most times.

very stiff clip
very nice handle material and liquid smooth blade open and close action. The only complain is the clip. Basically it is too stiff and too small to clip on anything.
