The PITS (Pie in the Sky) Folder is an expression of British knifemaker Mike Read's popular non-locking folder. Designed as a tough, hard-use folding knife that complies with strict British knife laws, it features a broad clip-point blade flat ground from N690Co steel. Its handle scales are precision machined from solid titanium, skeletonized to reduce weight, bead blasted to increase grip texture and color anodized bright blue. The scales also feature integral split spring arms that power the knife's unique slipjoint mechanism. This mechanism, along with the blade's prominent lower guard, help prevent accidental closure during use. A reversible deep-pocket wire clip provides left or right-side tip-up carry and, together with the blade's Trademark Round Hole makes one-handed carry and operation of the PITS Folder completely ambidextrous.

Compelling Unique Knife
Spyderco is awesome for bringing unique knives to market. There are the pros & cons of the PITS: PROS: Gorgeous. Unique mechanism. Good ergos. Good blade shape, good slicer. Weight is just right. Awesome carry. CONS: A bit off center. Finish scratches easily. Priced high, but Worth it at discontinued pricing. I’m glad I bought this knife. The coolness factor is off the charts while still being finctional. My only real gripe is that I’ve gotten a few up-scale Spydercos recently with off center blades (PITS included). I’m actually a bit excited to see this worn in with love-marks from carry and use.

Spyderco PITS that isn't
Of course I wanted the N690Co Steel since it wasn't a part of my collection before. Also, there's no way I would have paid about $240 for it which was the going rate for this knife. Knife Center had a great deal on this product or else someone else would be writing this review on the knife. Honestly, it was one of the most beautiful knives I've seen in person, that took me off-guard because in the catalogs in really wasn't that impressive. Overall, good quality, I don't have any complaints.
