SP205GP: C205GP Lil' Lum
The late Bob Lum was a talented custom knifemaker who specialized in translating classic Asian blade patterns into expertly crafted modern designs. Although Lum collaborated with Spyderco on several knives, perhaps the most enduring was the Lum Chinese Folder--his modern expression of the classic "Shilin Cutter" folding knife. The Lil' Lum resurrects this design in a smaller, even more pocket-friendly size than its predecessors and features a full-flat-ground "leaf-shaped" VG10 stainless steel blade. Its handle is constructed of textured G10 scales and full skeletonized stainless steel liners that also form the foundation of its sturdy liner lock mechanism. To ensure that it's always at the ready, the Lil Lum also includes a reversible pocket clip configured for right or left-side tip-up carry.

Littlest Lum
Mine came centered with a solid lockup and light but effective detent. Despite the clip it's probably best carried in a jean's watch pocket. When gripped with the clip on it's not very comfortable. A wire clip would have been better. If I carry this I'll remove the clip.Unlike the Lil' Native I would not consider this a "little big knife." In other words this knife does not really belie it's small size like some other small Spydercos. This is a light duty knife, elegant in appearance that pays tribute to one of the industry greats. The blade stock is very thin so slicing performance should be exceptional.

Pros: Handle Material, Handle Feel, Lock Type, Overall Quality, Ease of Opening, Weight, Lock Ease of Use, Blade Sharpness
Cons: Pocket Clip, None
Excellent knife it exceeded my expectations!
I have wanted a Lil Lum for quite some time, cost kept me from purchasing one. I finally purchased one because most other online retailers indicate it is discontinued, Knife Center still has them. I may look at other sites but I almost always purchase from Knife Center. I have a EDC Dragonfly but when I use it in public, I get less than positive feedback due to its blade shape, Lil Lum just the opposite. Typical of Spyderco the Lil Lum is a superb example of quality construction. It may be small but its blade belly cuts like a laser. The only con was the clip. I would prefer the spring type as on the Dragonfly, but its not a deal breaker. VG10 is great steel, especially for a small EDC folder. The cost..as usual Knife Center has the very best price I could find..anywhere! Again as USUAL KC service was exceptional, thank you! Lastly if you want one, better get one before they are gone.
