SP41CFPE5: C41CFPE5 Native 5
Spyderco

One of the most exciting expressions of the popular Spyderco Native 5, this limited edition Sprint Run features a unique CPM-S90V/CPM-154 composite blade and Peel-Ply carbon fiber handle scales.

S90V super-steel forms the cutting edge, providing exceptionally long-lasting performance. Another super-steel is used for the outer layers of this laminated blade. CPM-154 provides a greater degree of corrosion resistance than the core layer and makes for an altogether tougher blade.

To showcase this rockstar of a blade, Spyderco equipped the handle with peel-ply carbon fiber scales. This premium material has a much different look than traditional carbon fiber and is textured to offer incredible amounts of grip.

All of these premium features rest on the tried-and-true Spyderco Native platform. Stainless steel liners and backspacer provide strong bones and a proven lock back design keeps things solid.

This Spyderco's leaf-shaped blade is easily opened with their Trademark Round Hole. Thanks to the integrated finger choil that extends usable handle length, another common Spyderco design element, the user can choke up on the blade for fine control. A four-position stainless steel clip, allowing for a multitude of carry options completes this Sprint Run Spyderco Native 5.

Sprint Runs

Sprint Runs are limited edition production runs of knives not found in Spyderco's regular product line. Some are special versions of current models, while others are uniquely different expressions of classic, discontinued designs. No matter what form they take, every Sprint Run is a truly distinctive, one-time-only event. Once that knife is sold out, it will not be produced again in that exact form. That makes Spyderco Sprint Runs some of the most desirable and collectible knives they make.

My EDC
Great knife! Carry it everyday and use it for everything a knife was intended to be used for. One handed opening is effortless. Feels good in the pocket because of its thin lines and matching light weight. My only regret is paying $200.+ for it months ago.

Pros: Overall Quality, Blade Sharpness, Pocket Clip, Weight, Blade Material, None
Cons: Handle Feel, Lock Type
Lightweight and Elegant
My first Spyderco, this is lighter then a comparable size by a good bit, but feels solid when open. Arrives with a great edge that easily shaves hairs and packing tape is not even noticed. I have gotten used to internal blade locks, and would have liked that more then the back lock, closing the blade is a two hand operation for now until comfortable not to slip. The carbon provides good control and great looks, but does not have the heft that feels good. The pocket clip also could have been a deep pocket clip, but it's okay to show this knife off a little, even the clip seems crafted. Overall very happy, this will be my EDC for some time.
