SP41GPFGR5: C41GPFGR5 Native 5 Forest Green G10
Spyderco

Produced exclusively for the KnifeCenter at Spyderco's factory in Golden, Colorado, this unique limited edition version of the popular Native 5 proudly showcases Crucible CPM-S90V blade steel and a lightweight linerless handle with smooth matte G10 scales. A state-of-the-art powder metallurgy stainless steel, CPM-S90V has an advanced, vanadium-rich alloy composition. Its high vanadium content promotes the formation of hard vanadium carbides instead of chromium carbides, significantly increasing the steel's wear resistance and leaving more free chromium available to provide superior corrosion resistance. In this knife, this high-performance steel is precision machined to yield a full-flat- ground plain edge blade with a fully accessible Trademark Round Hole for swift, ambidextrous, one-handed opening.

Equally unique, the handle of this Exclusive Native 5 features 3D machined forest green G10 scales with a smooth matte finish. It houses a stout lockback mechanism that locks the blade securely in the open position and is easily operated with either hand. To ensure convenient carry and instant access, it also features four sets of threaded stainless steel inserts to anchor a broad-based pocket clip, allowing a choice of left or right-side, tip-up or tip-down carry.

Combining all the proven qualities of this iconic design with a state-of-the-art blade steel and distinctive handle scales, this limited edition Exclusive version of the Native 5 is sure to become a highly prized collector's item.

Sweet Knife!
First of all I'm a big fan of the Native 5, I have 3. That being said this is my favorite! I have the G10 with liners. Love the G10, but with liners it's fatter and heavier. I also have the S110V version. Amazing steel!! The S90V should be very close in edge holding and durability, maybe better. We'll see. Right out of the box I could shave with this thing! I just cut up a lime and sliced it like butter. Great blade shape for fruits and veggies. I love this knife. The size is a perfect compromise of weight vs utility. It's very light and up to most tasks a much larger knife would do. The green G10, aside from being my favorite color, is very smooth and has a very tight dot pattern when polished. It looks gorgeous and feels great! One thing I've noticed over the years, smooth scales and clips don't wear out your pockets as quickly. This knife slips in and out easily and yet is very secure. I always like the black clip on knifes. Less noticeable and looks cool. I like to tie a fob on most of my knives. It makes it so easy to deploy, just grab the fob and pull. Narrow black paracord, a green titanium bead and a diamond knot at the end. Lockback is rock solid and with a little practice is easily deployed and folded with one hand. This is already one of my primary edc knives. Highly recommend, especially at this price.

Cool knife but.....
Just purchased this knife and the only real issue I have with the knife are the scales, way too smooth first thing I noticed right out of the box . Scared I might accidentely drop it and or cut myself trying to flick it open which is hard to do without some wrist action and also the spydie hole is hard to put the tip of your thumb in to get a good flick . The detent is extremely tight not really a fun knife. The knife also is really smaller then I thought but not a deal breaker. The materials used are great hair poppin sharp and Im happy it has a back lock and not a liner lock which to me would seem a little unsafe on this knife.Just wish it had grippy scales. Bummer, back to knife center it might go.
