SP41GPFGR5: C41GPFGR5 Native 5 Forest Green G10
Produced exclusively for the KnifeCenter at Spyderco's factory in Golden, Colorado, this unique limited edition version of the popular Native 5 proudly showcases Crucible CPM-S90V blade steel and a lightweight linerless handle with smooth matte G10 scales. A state-of-the-art powder metallurgy stainless steel, CPM-S90V has an advanced, vanadium-rich alloy composition. Its high vanadium content promotes the formation of hard vanadium carbides instead of chromium carbides, significantly increasing the steel's wear resistance and leaving more free chromium available to provide superior corrosion resistance. In this knife, this high-performance steel is precision machined to yield a full-flat- ground plain edge blade with a fully accessible Trademark Round Hole for swift, ambidextrous, one-handed opening.

Equally unique, the handle of this Exclusive Native 5 features 3D machined forest green G10 scales with a smooth matte finish. It houses a stout lockback mechanism that locks the blade securely in the open position and is easily operated with either hand. To ensure convenient carry and instant access, it also features four sets of threaded stainless steel inserts to anchor a broad-based pocket clip, allowing a choice of left or right-side, tip-up or tip-down carry.

Combining all the proven qualities of this iconic design with a state-of-the-art blade steel and distinctive handle scales, this limited edition Exclusive version of the Native 5 is sure to become a highly prized collector's item.

The best Native !!
Mac from New England (the review under mine) sum it up perfectly. This is my favorite Native 5 so far, and I come from the Carbon Fiber S110V Sprint Run and before the love for my S35VN G10 version.... The choice of the forest green handle in its smoothest form is a bold move. No liners ? Who need liners with thick G10 ? G10 is formidable, they made stealth blade of it. Of course this is also the chance to get a S90V blade at a bargain (compare with the G10 version... S90V is easy to keep sharp with diamonds and it brings that kind of edge which will last... More of my thoughts and picture on my little blog "nemoknivesreview".

Excellent Steel, Excellent Ergos, All Around Great Spyderco
I received this knife, and since it is an exclusive in S90V, I was hesitant to use it. Since getting over my protectiveness of it, I have grown to love this knife for the workhorse that it is. The S90V holds an edge well and with DMT stones it isn't that bad to sharpen. The smooth G10 scales are absolutely gorgeous. Despite a couple of reviews worrying about the smooth G10 causing slippage of the hand, positioning your hand on the choil all but eliminates that possibility. Your hand locks into this grip so don't worry about the smooth G10. (Another benefit is that this doesn't eat up your pockets like the textured G10 tends to do.) The blade locks up with an extremely satisfying click. It's solid. There is not blade play at all and you won't find anything more secure out there. Now for the bad: This pocket clip, while not as bad as the Para 3, is still to high in the pocket. A deep carry clip is available aftermarket and is almost necessary if you don't want a quarter of an inch of your knife sticking out of the top of your pocket. Also, this is a two handed close. It doesn't have the fun factor like the compression lock or Benchmade's AXIS lock. I don't mind this, but for some the lockback is just not a "fun" lock on their knife and will count this as a con.
