SSKTRAVS: Custom Traverse Shorty Fixed Blade, Black Micarta
Shane Sibert Custom Knives
You may know Shane Sibert from his collaboration with Benchmade on the Arvensis fixed blade, as well as the Adamas models, but it was the MPR or Mini Pocket Rocket that put him on the map. Shane turned full-time custom knifemaker in 2004 and the MPR was the first folding collab with the famed production knife company. What we have here is more Shane's style... a fixed blade. He builds more folders nowadays but in the past, your main Sibert Knives were fixed blades.
The Traverse Shorty is a small hunting knife that is perfect for daily carry. The clip point blade is classic and beautiful, perfectly shaped for any and all cutting tasks. The three-finger handle is contoured black Micarta with a red accent near the finger guard for a nice aesthetic with the polished titanium tubes. The compact handle keeps the design out of the way until it's needed and it comes shaving sharp from Shane. This is one of those knives that is immediately recognizable as a family heirloom and will indeed last to be passed down to your future generations. In the meantime, use and abuse it all you like, it's built to last.
