The blade has had a hand applied differential temper, with the cutting edge at 58 Rockwell C and the spine and handle at 45-48 Rockwell C (spring temper). The handle is black matte finish Micarta, and it has been riveted using 0.25" diameter solid copper pins which have been hand peened. Cons: None
huge
Monstrous cleaver heavy and solid you wouldn't think this has any uses. You would be wrong if you hunt large game and butcher your own meat this is an incredible tool. one good hit and cleanly remove whole sides of ribs then turn around and cut large strips. So much easier than any kind of saw. Cuts straight through anything but the largest bones. I butchered a 1500 lb. moose a couple months ago and this thing saved so much time and effort without leaving behind small bone savings everywhere.
