Leather Sheath
Leather Sheath
Leather is known for its durability and traditional appeal. When compared to Kydex it is preferred for its silence when bumped against other objects, as well as blade retention.

Love this machete
We bought this along with a few other machetes at the same time for comparison. I LOVE this one! weight is fantastic, super sharp, holds an edge. It's ability to cut through stuff was incredible. I had a speed test with my son chopping through buckthorn tree while I tried to saw down one the same size. He beat me hands down (I was only halfway through the tree with the saw). Highly recommended.

Rock solid excellent multi-purpose tool
I have always been into axes and own a Gransfors hatchet. I wanted to see if a larger knife could replace it as a more versatile tool in my pack. The Golok is not only a great chopper, but still can handle some light vegetation if held correctly. It is made of tough L6 steel which doesn't even seem to flinch at anything you throw at it! Overall very pleased and excited to use it more in the bush!

Buy this if in the market!
Very pleased with the golok and service. This is my first experience with a golok or any other similar design, and so far I'm well pleased. Arrived with a grease coating, removed with lighter fluid, temper lines in evidence. Being carbon steel, a patina is expected and admired. Keep properly oiled. Very sharp, which I improved on easily with my ceramics and strop. Maintains an edge well, in my limited experience thus far . Grip is comfortable in my hands with gobs of available space, and no hot spots. Lanyards are required with this type of tool in my opinion, and lanyard holes are available fore and aft. Well designed leather sheath is provided, perhaps a kydex offering might be in order, or a custom version, to your design. I'd be interested what a 14-16" version would feel like!
