Pros: Overall Quality, Blade Material, Blade Sharpness
Cons: Weight, Ease of Opening, None
Too small to really be a "Hog"
This is a follow-up review to the first one I wrote. After some time with this fine knife here are my additional thoughts: This is a very well made knife, particularly for this price point. The blade is well designed and utilizes quality materials throughout. It is, however, too heavy at 4 oz. for its size. This is in large part due to the assist mechanism, which I don't think is warranted for a knife this size. IMHO, the blade should be an inch longer (4 in.) than it is and maybe 1/2" wider. Then it could properly warrant an assist mechanism and really be called a "Battle Hog", which this size knife isn't. The assist mechanism is hard to use and the thumb knob is poorly designed for being such an important part of the mechanism.

Nice tough knife for a great price
I grabbed this knife as it had a decent price, quality materials, and good reviews. As soon as I received the knife I knew it was a winner. The blade is thick, it was sharper then most 'out of the box' knifes, and the locking action felt totally secure. The opening action was a tad rough and harder to open then most, but got better after use, a little tension adjustment, and some oil. Some knifes open with barely any force, which is good at times, but this knife won't open unless you apply some serious force. No accidental opening and little kids shouldn't be able to open due to the needed thumb/wrist strength required. After a month or so of using, I'm quite pleased with this knife. Tough all around for a great price. Recommend!!
