Behold the Copper Tuff-Writer Precision Press Pen... old world material meets space age machining and a butt-load of hand finishing. Precision machining with a steam-punk twist. Classy and bold at the same time. There's nothing quite like it. Tuff-Writer uses a machined Delrin spacer for fitting multiple cartridges (Fisher / Foray / Parker / Schmidt / Franklin-Christoph) and a machined cam advancing mechanism (no cheap stamped parts here) with a ball bearing cam design for silky smooth operation (so smooth, it doesn't "click"... it's actually cooler this way).

Tuff-Writer has also improved on the design. The tip has been re-profiled and the wall thickness increased. They've also loosened up the tolerances on the nib to allow for more flexibility when choosing difference replacement cartridges (most cartridges are stamped and have more manufacturing float then machining). Finally, they adjusted the balance to be more tip forward for a better feel when writing.

What makes it special? Unlike other pens which use tubing, Tuff-Writer pens are machined from solid copper bar stock with considerable wall thickness. This makes for a much more precise finish, better threading, and more durable pen. It's more costly and time-consuming to do it this way but the end result is precision machined excellence like no other.

Polished Copper: Tuff-Writer then applys a hydrophobic polymer nano-resin (not a wax) to the surface to seal and protect the finish.
