A Best Buy - but B-I-G
The quality for the money is great. The balance is fine but the 12" length is really big. It takes some getting used to if you have used something smaller in the past.

A Big Blade for your Buck
I have bought three Forschner French Chef Knives for gifts over the last two years. They are first rate with an excellent edge and great balance.
