WEK716A: 716A Zephyr Folding Knife
We Knife Company
We Knife Company has been around the game for a long time but has only recently begun manufacturing their own designs. They started by manufacturing OEM designs for other companies and have gained a reputation in the industry as a name you can rely on. Their products are innovative, beautiful, and extremely well-built so you can rest assured you're getting a supreme quality product at a great price.
The Zephyr is an in-house We design and the only straight lines we can find on this knife are the logo pivot. Every other design line is organically curved to give you a knife that not only looks like a million bucks but also feels like it was manufactured for your specific hand. It is, without a doubt, one of the most ergonomic knives we've ever carried and to describe it as melting into your hand would be somewhat of an understatement.
The more we handle the Zephyr, the more we appreciate every little aspect that makes it such an incredible everyday carry blade. The first thing that jumped out at us was the wide blade and slender handle, a look we absolutely love. But upon closer inspection, the design of the thumb ramp and thumb slot are so perfectly executed, that we're astonished we haven't seen them on more designs already. The shape of the thumb ramp is just ideal while the stepped milling of the thumb slot makes finding it and using it simple and responsive. Add in the ceramic bearings and you have a knife that glides open no matter your preferred opening method. The tasteful carbon fiber inlays are contoured, as is the rest of the titanium handle, making for the supremely excellent grip this knife possesses. Add a unique blade shape that seems to taper down toward the handle and you have a knife that, in short, is a must-have in your collection and/or EDC rotation.
