Woodman's Pal describes this item as follows:

The Nostalgia Collection is offered as a reminder of our humble beginnings from early 1942, when the US Signal Corp was issued this as standard equipment. Many of you remember this item from your grandfather or father's military collection. Some of you have seen them at gun and knife shows. Now it is available for you to own to add to your collection.

No Woodman’s Pal® should be without the original 1942 manual reprints. They accompanied each Woodman’s Pal® during the 1940’s in combat. Each manual provides valuable information on a variety of topics as they relate to the Woodman’s Pal®. Each manual contains the wording and artwork from the original manuals printed in 1942. They include: Care, Use & Sharpening; Living in the Jungle; Survival Tool Kit Airman’s; and Fighting with USA Knife LC-14-B. Available in a set of four; they are a great add-on gift to give to your Woodman’s Pal® recipients.

Waste
Basically a waste. The books are smaller than a deck of cards (all 4 together) and the print is old and difficult to read. The illustrations look like something off of a memograph machine.
