Pros: Durability, Ease of Use, Effectiveness, Overall Quality
I purchased this soft Arkansas Stone, when it arrived it was a very odd color speckled like a Bob Cat’s hide with streaks and spots of brown running threw the stone. I oiled it with light oil and took a diamond hone and broke the edges around the stone at a slight 45 degree break to keep from chiping it. I then started to sharpen my Cold Steel Bushmaster which I also ordered on the stone. The stone had a glass like surface and sharpened the knife like a razor! I then sharpened the kitchen cutlery on the stone and finished them with a few strokes on a sharpening steel. My wife and daughter started to complain that they were nicking themselves on the knives sharpened with this stone (buy a box of band aids also as you will need them). This stones are excellent for sharpening knives and kitchen cutlery. A very good buy (: and I am pleased with both purchases.
