BCG38B: G38B Blue Jean Series 4-5/8" Farmhand
Bear & Son Cutlery
Blue jeans were created in 1873 for the cowboy, miner and worker. In the 1950’s, blue jeans became stylish clothing in America. Since then blue jeans have been a staple clothing item in most every American’s closet. Blue jeans are loved for their comfort and durability; two reasons why they are the first choice by the American worker. Bear and Son wanted to honor this American classic with knives that are comfortable in the pocket and durable. These knives are highly polished and are made with durable materials such as blue G10 and high carbon 440 stainless steel blades. These knives have a back pocket shield with B&S on the pocket. The blades are polished with a Bear & Son tang stamp.

Pros: Handle Material, Lock Ease of Use, Handle Feel, Ease of Opening
Cons: Blade Sharpness, None
Almost there.
I received this knife from knifecenter recently and wanted to report my findings on it. The handles are a very smooth & bright blue g10, very pretty. The fit is very good, with the liners smoothly lined up in the handle. The blade has an attractive satin finish, almost polished. The pull of the blade is nice and easy, and there is no wobble in the blade once it is open. Feels great. The big downside to the example I received was the edge of the blade. It was completely unusable. The edge was very dull. On closer inspection the edge was ground very unevenly, upon viewing the blade from the tip, it almost appeared to be chisel ground as one side of the edge was so uneven! I could not even start to fix this error by myself with my own sharpening skills, so I have it sent out currently to a professional knife sharpening service to put a real edge on it. Every aspect of this knife was great except the edge, and in a knife, isn't that what really matters?
