Pros: Materials, Durability, Overall Quality
Great Quality- Terrible Design.
I've had mine for a couple years now and it's still as good as new but there is one major flaw with this product. The cap goes over the pen point as it should but, contrary to the item description, it does NOT lock onto the other end when using the pen. The lid is pretty secure when over the pen point but on the other end it falls off as soon as you turn it over. I can't count the times I've had the pen cap fall off and go rolling away forcing me to stop and look for it. The materials are very good quality but the design is just bad. It's very uncomfortable to write with and there isn't any way to keep the lid on when writing with it. I also have a Smith & Wesson tactical pen which doesn't have as good of pointed ends but it's comfortable to write with and the lid screws on and off both ends making it extremely secure. With the cap unable to stay on the non-writing end, the uncomfortable writing ergonomics and risk of losing the lid of such a pricy pen I've completely had to stop using it as a pen. Now I just keep it in my purse for emergencies and write with a normal pen which pretty much defeats the purpose but at least it keeps some functionality which is why I gave it two stars instead of one. Great concept, materials and craftsmanship but absolutely terrible design. There's no option in the "con" list for bad design but that's what ruins this otherwise great product.
