BO084D: Boker Leopard Damascus I
The Leopard Damascus is forged out of the German battle tank Leopard I. This specialty steel is not available to the market because it was only used for the military. Our Damascus forger was fortunate to acquire some for Boker exclusively. A chromium-manganese and vanadium tool steel alloy was added to this extremely wear-resistant barrel steel. The result is a remarkably high hardness for Damascus steel (60-61° HRC). The pattern provided on the 300-layer blade is labeled "Small Pyramid." Handle material is 6061-T6 aluminum and features Ziracote wood inlays. Includes certificate of authenticity and gift box. Serialized.

Cons: None
Very Impressed
This is my everyday pocket knife. I am one that buys quality to use daily. I am very impressed with the balance, and feel. The knife fits snuggly in my front pocket and does not catch or hinder access to the pocket. Yes it is fair price to pay for a 'Pocket' knife, but I have been through all the others....that are supposed to be of higher quality - Blade and Case. However I actually use my knife, daily and I have found with all the other higher end knives that I have purchased, the set screws start to loosen, the bladed do not hold an edge and dull quickly with use. I don't want to have to resharpen my blade after each use and I do not have time, will nor the required equipment with me everyday to perform routine maintenance on the blade. So as far as the hefty price goes, it actually is a lot less expensive than the 15-20 $75-125.00 knives I have gone through in the past 5-6 years - Fell apart, blade broke, won't keep an edge, clip falls off...etc. So far no complaints and it's built to use!

Great folder
Expensive up front but good knife. The blade is pretty tough. I use a lansky diamond hone sharpening system to get the blade to shave hairs. Had the lady accidentally ran it through the washing machine and, even after a rinse cycle, the blade has not one bit of rust (although I did oil it down a little thereafter). I actually use it as an EDC and have been very pleased with it for the past 5 years. Although I don't abuse the knife, it still looks like the day I first purchased it. I do wish the pocket clip was a little tougher and less likely to lose its tension if snagged on something. Overall, I have been really happy with this knife.
