BO121918: Trench Knife

It was 1915 when Heinrich Boker & Co. Solingen received the government order to develop a compact fighting knife that would be especially useful for trench warfare. After 90 years, we are reproducing the original knife blade out of high carbon steel with 0.75% carbon. The pronounced steel crossguard, the wood forearm handle, (designed for a firm and safe grip), and the official tang stamp are identical to the original - as is the cowhide leather sheath. On the back of the blade, each knife shows its serial number. Blade length: 5 5/8". Overall length: 10". Weight: 5.9 oz. Made in Solingen, Germany.
Leather Sheath
Leather Sheath
Leather is known for its durability and traditional appeal. When compared to Kydex it is preferred for its silence when bumped against other objects, as well as blade retention.
Made in Germany

Carbon Steel
Carbon Steel
Carbon Steel is a term used for all non-stainless steels. These are generally more economical and easier to sharpen but may corrode if not cared for properly.
Wood Handles

Provides a traditional, natural look and feel to a modern tool. Wood absorbs shock well and is popular in axe handles.

Pros: Finish, Blade Sharpness, Overall Quality, Weight, Blade Material, None
Cons: Handle Material, Sheath/Scabbard
Well made old-school knife
Short review: +Very useful blade shape for combat +Sharp factory edge +Good hand guard +C75 is to my understanding similar to 1075 so it's a good basic high carbon steel +Light and compact size -Handle is pretty small and wooden scales are not the most comfortable -Sheath is nice real leather but mine is almost too tight because the knife barely fits in
